From the start center:

1. Tools>Extension Manager
2. Click Add, and browse through extension pack (professional languge extension 
pack - english).
3. Install/click ok.

3.0 on xp media center crashes when doing this...

I checked with "3.0.0 Beta Multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [300m2
(Build9301)]" / extension "Multipages" (pls. see  Issue 88460) and can confirm
the reported crash. The crash appears without the error message box mentioned in
Issue 88460, if no document has been opened before the test. So I see this issue
as a DUP of  Issue 88671.

@gvsa123:
If you have reasons to assume, that this issue should be reopened, because it is
different to  Issue 88671, please feel free to reopen it and contribute 
- a more detailed instruction how to reproduce the crash 
  (only from start center or also if a document has been opened, ...) 
- information concerning your extension "professional language extension 
  pack" (source, version, where on your harddisk, ...)
