In the snapshot you can see while editing the OLE drawing module the horz scroll
goes missing...now I don't remember how I fixed it.

Your OLE is too small to show the scroll bar in default view. Drag the OLE wider
(in edit modus) till you see the scroll bar. Drag the divider to the left to get
access to the scroll bar. Now you can reduce the width back. Unfortunately the
position of the divider is not remembered. That's not nice and worth an
enhancement request. Change this issue accordingly?

I'm not sure about the component, perhaps it is a "framework" issue.

Done that.
Comment 4 michael.ruess 2009-01-05 12:46:36 UTC
Is a problem in Presentation component - it does not offer a useful scrollbar in
some cases when acting as OLE server.

Can you attach a step by step description of how to reproduce this? Thanks.
Comment 6 Regina Henschel 2009-01-05 23:20:23 UTC
The problem is not with Impress OLE but with Draw OLE.

Create a writer document with dummy text. Insert the attached drawing as OLE.
Double click to edit mode.
Scroll the draw page, so that the drawing is in the left upper corner.
Drag the right edge and the bottom edge, so that the gray borders are near to
the drawing.
Leave editing mode.
Enter editing mode.
Notice, that you cannot access the horizontal scrollbar.

You can also use the attached Writer document, which has already got an embedded
Draw OLE.

The problem is in only with Draw objects not with Impress objects. In Impress
there is no problem, because the scroll bar always starts at the left corner.
But in Draw there is an area for the layer tabs and you cannot hide the tabs.
The scroll bar start after the devider. You can drag the devider to the left.
But when the OLE is to small, than the devider is out of view when you enter the
edit mode and you cannot access it.

Please excuse the double attachment, but Issue Tracker does not return correctly
from uploading a file.
Comment 11 de_logics 2009-01-06 06:23:36 UTC
You don't need me anymore right?
Comment 12 wolframgarten 2009-01-06 09:03:07 UTC
Ok, thanks to everyone involved. I can reproduce the problem now. Regina is
right, the area left to the scrollbar seems to have a minimum size that is
regenerated after leaving the edit mode.
Reassigned. Changed to defect.

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
