new rule OUTDATED_PHP
Last modified: 2019-06-17 10:54:23 UTC
header OUTDATED_PHP X-Mailer =~ /PHP v?5\.[1234].*/i score OUTDATED_PHP 3.1 describe OUTDATED_PHP Mail send from an outdated PHP version
Do you have evidence this is indicative of spam?
i dont know yet, thats why i would like to se the S/O score first it hits here on some mails, and its not hitting on ham not good rule to test then ?
I see your note now on the list. I wondered if you had any evidence, even anecdotal, that this was a decent spam or ham indicator.
Committed to davej sandbox.
Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 and its relatives use PHP 5.4.16. They're going to be supported for quite some time. I suspect the real indicator of spamminess is more likely to be from the use of a PHP-based mailer, not the PHP version used. The rule might be worth a 0.1 score, but no way is a score of 3 justified.
Good point. There is no way this rule will be indicative of ham or spam. No reason to bother with the S/O. Recommend it's commented.
DaveJ, can you comment this rule in sandbox? See comments 5 & 6.
