Description basilbourque 2005-03-28 05:37:03 UTC
I do not see any "Select All" menu item on the Edit menu, when I have focus in a Java text editor.
However, the Apple(Command)+A shortcut does select all the text.

4.1 beta.

Yes, currently there is not (and IIRC there was not) a support for "Select All"
action in Main Menu/Edit/ menu. Ruda, what do you think? Should we add this
action item to the Edit menu to NB4.1? Thanks.
Comment 2 Martin Roskanin 2005-03-30 10:56:37 UTC
We should resolve this to NB 4.1
Comment 3 Martin Roskanin 2005-03-31 08:17:20 UTC
Since there is no Select All global action in openide, it is not posible to fix
it in nb4.1 timeframe, changing TM to promoF
Comment 4 Rudolf Bock 2005-03-31 17:03:05 UTC
Sure, in NetBeans should be a global function "Select All" in the Edit menu, which should work on all
editable items (for the code in the Editor, in input fields or even on lists - when needed).
It would be great, add this function to the menubar (somtimes in the future - when it will be possible).
Comment 5 Tomas Hurka 2005-09-15 16:33:02 UTC
This is not Mac OS X specific issue.
Comment 6 Vitezslav Stejskal 2006-12-13 20:52:45 UTC
This is not really a defect.
Comment 7 Martin Balin 2016-07-07 07:32:01 UTC
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Thanks for your cooperation,
