I do not see any "Select All" menu item on the Edit menu, when I have focus in a Java text editor. However, the Apple(Command)+A shortcut does select all the text. 4.1 beta. --Basil
Yes, currently there is not (and IIRC there was not) a support for "Select All" action in Main Menu/Edit/ menu. Ruda, what do you think? Should we add this action item to the Edit menu to NB4.1? Thanks.
We should resolve this to NB 4.1
Since there is no Select All global action in openide, it is not posible to fix it in nb4.1 timeframe, changing TM to promoF
Sure, in NetBeans should be a global function "Select All" in the Edit menu, which should work on all editable items (for the code in the Editor, in input fields or even on lists - when needed). It would be great, add this function to the menubar (somtimes in the future - when it will be possible).
This is not Mac OS X specific issue.
This is not really a defect.
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
