Description Pavel Buzek 2007-04-23 21:46:24 UTC
The SJSAMs node in Runtime tab shows an error: Invalid AM_CONFIG_FILE system
property. Please set it to <asroot>/domains/domain1/config/AMConfig.properties.

I was finally able to overcome this by adding [1] into nb/etc/netbeans.conf but
do you expect the user to do this? Why should I have to set this property when I
already have the app server added in IDE?

[1]-J-DAM_CONFIG_FILE=c:\Progra~1\glassfish-v2-b41a\domains\domain1\config\AMConfig.properties
Comment 1 Srividhya Narayanan 2007-04-23 22:29:50 UTC
The expected behavior is that this property will be set by the NB installer when
the SOA pack is selected where the identity modules and the Access Manager
runtime are installed and the netbeans.conf is modified to contain this
property. If you are seeing this error, the installer didnt set this property
properly. Which build are you using and pls provide the steps you did to get to
this.

NBI Installer did not work for me today (issue 102224) so I used .zip file. But
users will be using zip files, it will be available as an alternative to NBI so
there should be a more user friendly way for the user to resolve this problem.

I agree we need a solution for this. Just curious, how did you get the access
manager to install/config if you just used the zip file.. did you install SDK
separately which installed appserver, access manager etc for you?
Comment 4 Pavel Buzek 2007-04-24 02:58:48 UTC
Previous version of NBI installed it for me.

This should be an NBI bug. If you install the default full version, the
runtimes get installed but are not in the ide and must be manually added. This
has been the case for the last several days builds. There are many issues going
on wiht the installer build system right now and I think whaen the system is
back in good shape this will not be an issue any longer.

This has been fixed by build: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200706070000).
