could you please provide more detail and steps to reproduce this issue. what do
you mean by "no Class diagram generated when selecting elements - no diagram
appears"? You meant Create Diagram From Selected Elements on selected elements?

Per email from Robert:

Sorry Yes I meant -
No diagrams appear when ' Create Diagram From Selected Elements '
Comment 4 Yang Su 2007-06-13 01:19:22 UTC
The "java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Algorithm PBEWithMD5AndDES not available" was thrown while plugin tried to
validate the license (for the drawing). It was caused by a missing jar in your environment.

The log indicates that required sunjce_provider.jar is not in "Boot & Ext. Classpath", in fact, none of the jars from
jre/lib/ext/ are present in your classpath.

Please make sure
1. your jre libs are not tampered, you should have dnsns.jar, localedata.jar, sunjce_provider.jar and sunpkcs11.jar
under jre/lib/ext

2. you should not use explicit bootclasspath to start IDE, see
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/attachment.cgi?id=27745&action=view

Please reopen if it's still an issue.
