Once I starting or stopping application server the IDE does not responding on
user actions

Please provide details:

which IDE build, which server, which server build

A thread dump from the IDE while it is unresponsive would be useful, too.

I had noticed this with some builds from around 20 May 2007. The issues have
been improving since then.

I found this on build 07.05.23.
On later build 07.05.31 its no more reproduced.
