Description rdelaplante 2007-07-01 18:05:15 UTC
I've just installed M10 (June 30 2007) even though it's not quite released yet. I downloaded the full version from
http://bits.nbextras.org/netbeans/6.0/m10/.

After installing M10 on Ubuntu 7.04 (using sudo to run the installer, and just my regular user to run NetBeans) I see
that there are no servers configured in the servers manager. I click add and chose glassfish v2 app server. I had to
create my own personal domain. When I got to the screen where it asks which ports I want to use, it had a whole bunch
of numbers that seemed random. I hit cancel and tried again. When I got to the same screen, it showed different port
numbers for everything. I canceled and tried a third time. Again I saw different random numbers. I may have missed a
step in my notes.. I may have closed the server manager window before coming back to add a server.

The missing server configuration after fresh install problem may be related to the first exception I listed in issue 108587

The ports ARE chosen at random...

The option to create a personal domain picks random values to try to prevent multiple users on the same machine from
having conflicting ports...

It does this by design.

Since you know that you will be the only user on your machine, you are welcome to change them to any "expected" value
that you want.
