Description nouar38 2007-07-25 11:00:58 UTC
NB 6.0 07240000 & GF v2 b56: on solaris and windox xp.

I'm putting against dd editor (instead of documentation) to have an answer how to define general cache parmeters
and to do mapping for an uri. Please answer and change to the suitable component if documentation.

requested to do tests for web caching configuration / mapping within a servlet and was not able to
find the tabs described in the IDE-on-line helps:

sun-web.xml: Visual Editor: General

in see Also has entries like: Session, Messages, Locale, Cache
following the link Cache General found the information I'm looking for.

But, double cliking on my sun-web.xml for web application created with no framework (default index.jsp
and added to it a Servlet), I don't have these above tabs.

I have: General, Servlets, Security, WebServices, Clients, Messaging , Enviornment, XML.

thanks in advance.
nouar,

Reassigning to serverplugins for further evaluation.

There is no cache configuration UI in the NB 6.0 multiview dd editor. (There is full UI for this portion of sun-web.xml
in NB 5.5.1 though) This is not likely to change.

IDE Online help is probably wrong, as it likely reflects 5.5.1 and has not been updated yet.

I'm going to close this as invalid rather than won't fix because I don't understand the question. Please don't file
bugs as a way to ask how to do something.
