Description davisn 2007-08-13 23:59:26 UTC
-If AppServer 8.x installed remotely, Services Server does not recognize them
-The problem does not happen if the servers installed locally

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Install Netbean nightly build (08/13/2007)
2. Install AppServer 8.x to a different machine
3. Start the remote AppServer 8.x
4. Add the remote Service to Service node
BUG:
Status of the remote 8.x server wasn't recognized by the Service Servicer IDE

Does this happen if you use an 8.2 install as the "Platform Location' on the second page of the registration wizard?
Comment 2 davisn 2007-08-14 18:38:01 UTC
The problem happens when added server as "Sun Java System Application Server" platform.

I worked with Davis to resolve this issue... he was using 9.1 bits to attempt to communicate with 8.x...

This is unsupported by the server bits, so the plugin doesn't support this...
