After upgrading from NetBeans 6 Beta 1 to NetBeans 200710090000, I

Please, describe your steps in detail. What did you meant "upgrading"? It looks to me you used the NB6Beta1 userdir in
200710090000 build, it's risky and unsupported use-case. Thanks

I downloaded the .dmg file for Mac OS X. I double-click it. This mounted the disk image to my desktop. I opened the disk
image. I double-click the installer. That's it.

When I double-clicked on the application I got the error message.

If it's using the wrong userdir, then it's a NetBeans bug. I did not select a userdir and was never prompted about
whether to use an old user dir. I simply double-clicked the installer and then double-clicked the application and those
were the results I got.

which bundle you used for beta1 and nightly builds? (Ruby or All)
Comment 4 Ivan Sidorkin 2007-10-22 12:30:43 UTC
installed Beta1 (Ruby only), started it. works fine
installed 200710090000 (Ruby only), started it. works fine

Beta1 installed in /Applications/NetBeans/NetBeans 6.0 Beta 1.app
Nightly build installed in /Applications/NetBeans/NetBeans 6.0 Dev 200710090000.app

they doesn't affect each other and use different user dirs

could you please attach messages.log file
Comment 5 rationalpi 2007-10-23 04:31:32 UTC
I used the All installer and did not install support for Ruby.

I would post my message.log file, but that was more than 11 days ago and I've upgraded the IDE multiple times since then
since we're encouraged to use daily builds for NetCat. If I see the error again, I'll update this issue and post my log.
