Description novakm 2007-10-31 15:27:32 UTC
Lately Print and Print Preview actions were "merged". There is only one entry in File menu - Print... After invoking a
print preview is shown and you can print it using Print button. However, this functionality is not present in basic IDE.
To be more specific, it is present only in the full IDE which seems quite illogical to me.
Comment 1 Vladimir Yaroslavskiy 2007-11-06 09:43:47 UTC
Now print module lives in SOA pack (soa1 cluster).
Comment 2 Antonin Nebuzelsky 2008-02-04 16:37:10 UTC
Not a bug, as designed.
Comment 3 novakm 2008-02-05 07:59:36 UTC
I'd like to reopen as an RFE then. IMHO it is really weird to have this functionality only if you have certain part of
IDE installed!
Comment 4 Lukas Hasik 2008-02-05 08:53:24 UTC
it is up to the Print API owner to find out way how to provide the functionality for whole IDE - reassigning
Comment 5 Vladimir Yaroslavskiy 2008-02-05 10:32:49 UTC
Now Print Preview feature is presented in NetBeans Java EE version.
Comment 6 novakm 2008-02-05 10:38:16 UTC
So it won't be available if you don't have j2ee installed, am I right? Wouldn't it be better to move it to javase (if it
is possible)?
Comment 7 Vladimir Yaroslavskiy 2008-02-05 10:43:16 UTC
It is not a technical problem to move print module to another cluster
but should be approval from api review team.

I think that Java EE version is enough now.
