Description spaquet 2007-11-08 13:56:17 UTC
I followed http://www.netbeans.org/kb/60/soa/helloworldca.html
and ended up with ERROR: (JBIMA1407) Required component sun-bpel-engine is not installed on target server.

I'm currently using glassfish V2 b58g (final) and Netbeans 6 beta 2.

I noticed that some error like this were occuring with netbeans 5.5 and glassfish b36 and that it should have been fixe
since b38 of Glassfish. Actually it does not seem to be the case.
Comment 1 Petr Hejl 2007-11-08 16:05:09 UTC
Issue is reproducible with daily build too.
Comment 2 Petr Hejl 2007-11-08 16:33:27 UTC
It seems that glassfish (both included in the ide and the standalone) does not contain bpel engine. Could be the bug in
the tutorial.
Comment 3 spaquet 2007-11-08 18:05:03 UTC
I confirm that daily builds of netbeans are also impacted.
I think that glassfish should embed or that netbeans should install required module to the glassfish in use on the
machine. Thus it will be faster to develop project using BPEL with netbeans.
Comment 4 Petr Hejl 2007-11-08 19:36:38 UTC
Well I tested the different builds and the right build that contain glassfish with open-esb runtime is the full ide. It
is also mentioned in the tutorial (I will contact author to emphasise this).

Closing as INVALID. If you believe the netbeans should embed the open-esb as default please file an enhancement issue
(probably) to installer component.
