Ports/bindings created by right-clicking on the composite application node and selecting new/new WSDL do not show up in the composite application even after selecting "build" to get the application to re-fresh.
This is a CompApp/CASA usability enhancement request item: 3.3 Ports created via WSDL wizard in CompApp can not be used in CASA Unused WSDL ports defined in CompApp do not show up in CASA automatically. There is a "Load WSDL Port" that can be used to load such ports into CASA. The following steps show how to load unused WSDL ports: - Open CASA - Right click on the WSDL Port area and select "Load WSDL Port" action - Select the port to load - The port will be shown in CASA and can be used to make connections. BTW, there is also a similar action to load unused WSDL port from SU.jar
I'm not sure what the "fix" is there -- the response describes existing behavior as a workaround for having CASA pick up the info automatically. Is this a won't fix, or should this be an enhancement request?
Jen, Before the fix, endpoints from wsdl added in compapp can not be loaded in CASA directly. You can try with earlier builds, e.g., NB6.01 -- Tientien Li
What confused me is that the steps in the resolution still does not allow the ports in WSDL files in the CompApp to be automatically included as Andi requested. We're requiring users to use Load WSDL Ports instead. It was not clear from the issue descriptions that Load WSDL Ports did not pick up the Comp App WSDL before this change. BTW -- when was this fixed? If Andi does not consider the resolution approach adequate, I'm sure he'll enter another issue. Verified fixed as described in the resolution with Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200804040802) - Java CAPS Enabled Java: 1.6.0_03; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_03-b05 System: SunOS version 5.10 running on x86; ISO646-US; en (nb) Userdir: /Users/lautz/sierrabuilds/JavaCAPS20080406/.netbeans/caps
