When I want to open a new file and I select File -> Open File, The "look in" combobox of the open dialog only includes the Desktop, and there is no way to see or select the "my computer" or "network places" there
It seems it relies on the fact you have My Computer on the desktop. If you don't, you are unable to browse anything that's not on the desktop. Reassigning to utilities - open file
I tried to reproduce on Windows Vista but without any success. Can you confirm that when you select the Desktop in the combobox, there is no "Computer" node ?
Can you describe basic parameters of your system? It will be enough if you paste here the beginning of the System Info section of the NetBeans log file: 1) In NetBeans, select View > IDE Log File 2) In the Output window, scroll to the top of the log file (e.g. Ctrl-Home). 3) Select five lines below the "System Info:" header. 4) Copy the lines to the clipboard (Edit > Copy). 5) Paste it here.
No information provided in more than 2 months, not enough information for fixing the bug - marking as INVALID.
