1. Right-click the Databases node and choose New Connection.
2. Fill in your connection information and click OK.
3. In the Advanced tab, you are prompted to select a schema. As a novice, I don't know why I need to select a schema, so
I click Help, but only the help for the basic settings is shown.

See related issue 132605 on weird UI.

James, can you look at this? It looks like the basic topic appears when you click help on the advanced tab, which I
think is fine. Could you determine whether more information is needed at the bottom of that topic concerning the
Advanced tab?

I've added some information based on the current information in the dialog box
Comment 3 Patrick Keegan 2008-08-18 14:54:43 UTC
Reopening because the added sentences don't tell me why I need to select a schema. The answer, according to Andrei's
comment in issue 144118, is that the db explorer displays only tables that use the selected schema. If you select the
wrong schema, those tables won't appear in the DB explorer.

I've added more text that better addresses this feature.

text looks good in diff; thanks James
