Steps to reproduce:
- open AWT Frame
- add JTextField or JTextArea 
- try edit text by in-place editing

It's impossible.

In JLabel,... it's possible use in-place editing to edit text.

In-place editing of these components in AWT was disabled, see issue 
13253.
