From nbusers posting from Gordon Hyatt on 4/11/2008: > NB61 RC1 is popping 2 warning dialogs when I open Tools, Options, > Advanced Options, Editor Settings, JSP Editor (or, rather, any Editor > EXCEPT the C, C++, or Java Editors). > > The dialogs look to be warning of the same data. I downloaded both 6.0.1 and 6.1rc1. In both cases I downloaded the "All" installers but disable SOA, Glassfish and one other optional package which required SOA). After the download, I ran 6.0.1 and edited some both C++ and JSP editor settings before exiting. I ran 6.1rc1 (letting it import my 6.0 settings) and opened Editor Settings. I didn't get any warnings (either popup or in messages.log) but both C and C++ settings showed no properties. I think this is expected as we made an effort to remove entries from Advanced Options (NetBeans is trying to eliminate the need for it). I do think empty nodes shouldn't be displayed, but this isn't as serious as exception dialogs. I'll ask QA to do more testing on this and see if they get the warning popups.
