Description Lukas Hasik 2008-09-14 20:43:01 UTC
According to the Permanent UI specification for NB IDE [1] there are following problems with *Window > Other* menu
of the NB IDE

1, "BPEL Mapper" menu item is missing in the IDE

Please, fix it or follow the UI Review process [2] to get the changes approved

Sergey, what about keeping this menu item for a while?

Just as reminder - we had a lot of requests and discussed a plans to move mapper back to a panel under bpel process
diagram, so this action may be used to turn this panel on and off.

In current version this action may be used to switch editor to mapper pane.

Ok, i just figured out that my previous proposal does not looks consistent with the rest of Window > Other submenu items.

Lets just remove this menu item till the moment when mapper will be moved back to separate panel.

Now the question is, do i have to write a UI spec saying that menu item needs to be removed? Document [2] linked above
only define a process of adding new items, but what about removing?
Comment 4 Sergey Lunegov 2008-09-24 15:26:26 UTC
We can follow approach Kirill used in 147061.
Same as there we don't have functional specification for this.

What we need to do is just one thing:
- remove "Window->Other->BPEL Mapper" from spec

The justification is the following: BPEL Mapper window is not NB TopComponent any. And logic of appearing and
disappearing was changed. So no any sense to keep "Window->Other->BPEL Mapper" menu item.

Jano, would you please update the spec ?

I've removed "BPEL Mapper" from the spec:
