Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 20081009092807) Java: 1.6.0_10-rc2; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 11.0-b15 System: Windows Vista version 6.0 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb) The option 'Insert closing bracket automatically' is in section 'Code completino' althoug it has no effect on inserting closing bracked by code completion. It also controls inserting other pair chars as ' and ", not only brackets
By 'Code completion' users typically refer to any feature that somehow completes code when they type it. This is somewhat wider definition that what we (developers) usually mean by code completion. From this point of view I don't see any problem with have the checkbox where it is now. It's inaccurate label is a different story. Maybe we could call it 'Insert pair character automatically' or just 'Complete pair characters'. Just some ideas...
I agree the location is correct.
