-Versioning > Mercurial > Clone Other
-type "http:" to the Repository URL text field
-> there is "%5C" in the message. Is it correct?

yes. 

%5C stands for "/" and is needed on windows when cloning. see also issue #131440
I guess we should let the user to give in slash and decode the url afterwards instead of forcing him to use the %XX notation
