After several hours of work on some project I have problem with
copy/paste functionality. When I select a part of source code,
press CTRL-C, move cursor to the target position and press CTRL-V
the UI blocks for about 10-20 seconds and then nothing is copied.
Closing and reopening the source file helps for short time
but then I must restart NetBeans.

Hi! I would swear there is a similar issue already opened but it doesn't matter. We will need more information in order
to do something about it.

Can you please send us following when it happens again:

1. Archive with your userdir, which is folder "{$USERHOME}/.netbeans/6.5"
2. Thread-dump when IDE is frozen (http://wiki.netbeans.org/GenerateThreadDump)

Also, can you please post information from Help>About here to let us know your build/OS/JDK versions?

OK, I have found that issue. Making this as a duplicate of that one, please if you have some more details about the 
bug, share them with us in discussion to issue 124094.
