1. Start IDE without registered GlassFish.
2. Rightclick "Java DB" node and choose "Properties".

Result: "Java DB Properties" doesn't have any prompt message.

3. Enter wrong path for "Java DB installation path" field.

Result: "Java DB Properties" has error message.

4. Remove everything from "Java DB installation path" field.

Result: "Java DB Properties" has info message message.

Again I don't see a need to post an info message when the dialog opens. It's distracting
Comment 3 Rob Englander 2008-12-12 18:50:33 UTC
I think the presentation of the info message should be based on the state of the fields, not on
wehther or not the user has first opened the dialog. So I think the info message should be there
right from the start. (my 2 cents).
Comment 4 David Vancouvering 2008-12-12 18:54:55 UTC
I think I have to agree with Rob, we should be consistent - if you can't press "OK" then we need to explain why using
the standard NB UI model for this.
