Per advice from Vince Kraemer(Vince.Kraemer@Sun.COM) I'm submitting this issue. Hello, I have been very happy with NB6.5 for my j2ee project. I have just recently however noticed (probably since upgrading to 6.5 from 6.1) the remote glassfish servers are no accessible for deployment. I have googled endlessly and not been able to find a resolution. I am using GFv2 on my windows that is integrated with NB6.5… wanting to deploy to GFV2 on my linux (FC8 also RH5.1) When I try to deploy it by rt clicking on my project I see this in the run-deploy window … Starting of server GlassFish V2 @ rtlab is not supported. Please, start the server manually. note: GlassFish V2 @ rtlab is what I have called the server when I added it in NB But note the server is running. When I rt. click on the server node in my NB6.5 service tab and refresh, I see this message on my IDE log window. INFO [org.netbeans.modules.j2ee.deployment.impl.ServerInstance]: DebuggerInfo cannot be found for: GlassFish V2 @ rtlab Anyone please advise on how to get past this annoying issue Thanks - Rambo Mogambo PS: I can deploy from my vista by accessing the admin console via a browser, so I don’t there is a connectivity issue. PPS – no proxies being used. PPPS: Both the machines are 32 bit machines My linux box ... Linux officecore 2.6.26.6-49.fc8 #1 SMP Fri Oct 17 15:59:36 EDT 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Sun Java System Application Server 9.1_02 (build b04-fcs) My Vista where I have NB6.5IDE integrated GF version Windows Vista Home Premium, 32bit OS, where I have NB6.5+GF Sun Java System Application Server 9.1_02 (build b04-fcs)
I have not been able to duplicate this. Unfortunately, I don't have FC8. I am deploying from Vista to Solaris and from Solaris to Vista. Note: the message "INFO [org.netbeans.modules.j2ee.deployment.impl.ServerInstance]: DebuggerInfo cannot be found for: GlassFish V2 @ rtlab" is not an indication that the server is started or not... as an aside: do you see any other dialog boxes and/or messages when you deploy? Is there anything that looks like a user name/password dialog box?
