Description dpkumar 2009-01-28 06:20:13 UTC
NB Build-Build 200901261401
GFV3-B33
JDK-jdk1.6.0_07
OS-WinXP

Steps to reproduce:
-Install IDE
-Start IDE and select Tools>Servers>Add Servers>GlassFishV3
-Check that the default installation location is 'C:\Program Files\glassfish-v3-prelude-b28c'
-Remove 'glassfish-v3-prelude-b28c' from the default installation location and type some name to download V3.
-In my case I typed location as 'C:\Program Files\GFV3-33'

Issue:
-See the error message in the bottom of the wizard, saying "C:\Program Files\GFV3-33 does not exist and can not be created".
-Instead of that error message, wizard should show that "C:\Program Files\GFV3-33 does not exist but can be downloaded
and installed there".

Are you able to install the server in a location outside C:\Program Files?

Comment 3 dpkumar 2009-02-02 04:13:47 UTC
Yes, I am able to download GFV3 inside the directory "c:\gfv3".
But in the "c:\program files\" location i was not able to download V3 build.
Comment 4 Vince Kraemer 2009-02-03 16:42:03 UTC
since you are able to download v3 to other locations, this seems like a p3 issue.

Note: this error message may actually be correct... Have you changed the permissions on 'c:\Program Files'?

Please reevaluate
Comment 7 Vince Kraemer 2009-09-23 05:57:59 UTC
Since there are a number of folks that have been able to install v3 and nb 6.5, 6.7, 6.7.1 and 6,8 onto win xp, I can
only guess that something else is going on that is particular to the users environment.

There were still unanswered questions related to this issue.

I am closing this as wfm.

Please reopen if this is stil an issue with recent nb 6.8 builds.
