Description jesterfred 2009-02-25 14:33:43 UTC
Following the directions in the help documentation leads to a dead end when trying to create a WSDL file. The
documentation states:

The New Web Service Client wizard creates a new WSDL file. You open the New WSDL File wizard by right-clicking a web
application or Java application, choosing New > Other and selecting WSDL file from the Web Services category.

The "WSDL File" selection is not in the set of choices. Only Web Service From WSDL (assumes you already have a WSDL
file) and Web Service are available.

Two problems: 1 the documentation is incorrect and 2, where did the new WSDL file wizard go? I need to create a web
service by defining a WSDL first.

Yes, the "Generating a WSDL File" page is incorrect. The Page header should be changed to "Creating a WSDL Document".

There are also other incorrectnesses:
Firstly : to create WSDL document, the "WSDL" plugin should be installed
Secondly, the wizard for WSDL document, when WSDL plugin is installed, is in New -> XML -> WSDL Document.

I see you are addressing the documentation issue but not the missing functionality. How does one now author a new WSDL
file? Is the Wizard gone and I must create from scratch?
Comment 3 jesterfred 2009-02-26 16:56:31 UTC
Oops - I see the new WSDL Document is now under the XML setting.

Javahelp topic corrected (I think the changeset is f51b2cc2182d3eb23114d28c110c071810ec372a)
