I've installed Java distribution with Glassfish V3 on Windows XP using installer, created new project and invoked run 
action on it.

Application was build, glassfish started to run, but in about 2 seconds an information window appeard "Glassfish v3 
Prelude Domain Start Failed" and the application startup was marked as Failed, but the server was still starting and it 
started correctly.

I switched to services tab to se server status - it was marked as stopped, I invoked refresh and it was suddenly 
correctly marked as running.

I'm not able to reproduce the problem on Solaris neither Linux
