I've had this problem under 6.5 patch 1 as well. When I change the tool chain preference, for C/C++, from /usr/bin/make to /usr/local/bin/gmake and /usr/bin/gcc to /usr/local/bin/gcc, the preference isn't saved when I reload. I cannot create a new toolchain as well. Also, since the java profiler isn't implemented for FreeBSD, disabling the profiler in the plugin dialog is ignored as well. I didn't have this problem under 6.0, 6.2. Monty
confirmed
I confirm on Windows XP too, with 6.8m1. Not just changes but new toolchains are lost.
Please evaluate
I can confirm this under NetBSD with NetBeans 6.7.
works for me in 6.8
