When I open BPEL project, work with them and closing it,
file catalog.xml is required to be saved, whereas the file is not touched manually.

It is not required to save the catalog.xml file anymore.
This is verified to work correctly in CAPS 63 M5 build (20101103-1248).
This issue can be closed.
