Looking at the latest build:
http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/2009-10-23_02-01-27/

I see there is a link to the beta release at the top:
http://download.netbeans.org/netbeans/download/6.8/beta

But this link is incorrect, it should be:
http://download.netbeans.org/netbeans/6.8/beta/
