If AS unable to create domain (say missed JDK of required version) IDE shows warning dialog with corrupted text. Check screenshot.

I cannot reproduce this. It seems that this is a bug in JLabels rendered by JDK 5 on Mac OS X.

I cannot reproduce this on Snow Leopard and JDK 6 update 17, I am going to close this as WFM...

If you have more details about the environment where I can reproduce this with recent 6.9 builds, please reopen it with those details.
