I'm experiencing a problem that may be related to Bug 179830:

It is very hard to say why code templates sometimes do not not work because there are no errors. Sometimes I press enter (create a new line) and then I try to invoke the code template again. Sometimes that seems to help. Sometimes code templates just won't work at all (for a longer period of time) no matter what I do. Some times some code templates will work while others won't. The predefinded code templates seems to work better than the ones I have defined myself. I have re-installed Netbeans Development Edition (PHP only) with a clean user dir and no imported settings. But the problem is still there, and also I should mention that this has been an issue in all the NetBeans versions I have tried. I'm using JRE build 1.6.0_18-b07. OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Could you please the latest development version, please? Feel free to reopen this issue if the problem is still there. But exact steps to reproduce would be more than welcome.
