Description esmithbss 2010-06-21 18:17:29 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201006130001)
Operating System = Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_20
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.3-b01

When reporting an issue from within the IDE, the bugzilla interface needs to be overridden in some way to default the "Report a New Issue" form to select the currently running version of NetBeans as the proper Version for the form.

Currently, the system is using the current released version.

There is no API or general mapping between NetBeans IDE builds and the corresponding versions in NetBeans Bugzilla. Hence, we have to update the default verstion of the reported issue (from the IDE) manually whenever it changes. I just changed the default version for development builds to "dev" => closing this issue as fixed.

Modified file: http://hg.netbeans.org/cdev/rev/bd567b5d897d

BTW: We insert the build number into Description when a new issue is reported. So, we can identify the correct version even when the "default version" is not updated yet in our bug-tracking modules.
