Description Petr Jiricka 2010-07-23 15:30:14 UTC
1. Downloaded GF 3.1 promoted build 12 from http://dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net/glassfish/3.1/promoted/ (zip archive, full installation)
2. Unzipped
3. When trying to register, the dialog displays an error message and I can not proceed:

/Users/petrjiricka/glassfish_31_b12 is not a valid GlassFish Server 3.1 installation.
Comment 1 Vince Kraemer 2010-07-23 17:17:05 UTC
Hmm. I cannot reproduce this on Solaris.

here is what I did.

1. downloaded http://dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net/glassfish/3.1/promoted/glassfish-3.1-b12.zip to /tmp

2. did an 'rm -rf glassfishv3' in my current directory ($CWD)

3. unzip /tmp/glassfish-3.1-b12.zip in my $CWD

4. started my dev build of NB

5. registered the bits as GF server 3.1 by selecting GlassFish Server 3.1 on the first page of the registration wizard and then entering $CWD/glassfishv3

What is the content of /Users/petrjiricka/glassfish_31_b12?

Also... is this report really for 6.9 or is it for the dev build?
Comment 2 Petr Jiricka 2010-07-23 19:15:31 UTC
This is from dev version, not 6.9.
Comment 3 Vince Kraemer 2010-07-23 19:54:18 UTC
answers to my other questions?
Comment 4 Petr Jiricka 2010-07-26 13:54:25 UTC
I tried to download and unzip the build again and now it works fine. Sorry, this apparently a problem on my side.

There are some differences in the layout between the two builds on my machine, namely, the former contains 215 files under glassfish/modules, while the latter contains 230. Feel free to close now.
