I consider the new "Search Results" window to be a regression in terms of usability compared to the way it looked in NetBeans 6.8. The "Replace", "Show all details", "Modify criteria" and "Stop Search" -- which used to be individual and most importantly BIG buttons are now replaced by some tiny 16px icons that are also quite non-descriptive. I literally had to wait for the tooltip to show up to understand what the new icons do -- in particularly I was looking for the "Replace" button. Now -- I can't speak for everybody but how I usually use the "Replace in Projects" feature is something like this: I type the text, then I look into the "Search Results" window to see how many matches I have then I press "Replace". I rarely use the "Stop Search" button and more so "Modify Criteria". I never use "Show All Details". So -- I think the "Replace" button should really be much more prominent (like it used to be in 6.8). Using the red icon for "Stop Search" makes sense and it's consistent with the rest of the IDE -- this looks like a good change. Same for the less used "Modify Criteria" and "Show All Details". But, "Replace" doesn't really cut it in the current form. It's almost hidden and has a really bad icon.
