Product Version = NetBeans IDE 6.9 (Build 201011082200) Operating System = Windows Vista version 6.0 running on x86 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_20 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.3-b01 On startup I get the message 'Failed to initialise the Profile engine: Problem with a required JFluid installation directory or file' followed by the user setting '... /.netbeans/6.9/lib/deployed/jdk16/windows/profilerinterface.dll'. Examination of the file location shows that 'profilerinterface.dll' is indeed missing. I cannot find it in other likely locations either. Uninstalling and reinstalling NetBeans does not correct the problem and this file is still missing. Internet searches show similar a similar problem with earlier NetBeans releases some years ago but the bug reports indicate that the problem was eliminated. My original installation did not have this problem. It first appeared after I had to rollback to an earlier Windows Restore Point.
Not enough information. The file mentioned is not even available in 7.1 Could you check with the latest dev builds of NetBeans 7.1 whether it is still reproducible? In case it is, please, attach the IDE Log file.
