Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.0
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on x86
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_20
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.3-b01

I have a 2 project groups with 5 projects in each group. Switching between groups is taking about 5min. I have no notification during switch so i don't know even if switching is in progress. 

My firs impression was that switching didn't work but after 5 min I have realized that this is taking so much time.

I want to confirm this. I have many groups and since 7.0 it takes indeed a few minutes to switch groups. In 6.9.x switching groups took less then 5 seconds.

I can confirm this as well. 7.0 takes around 3-5mins for groups switching (and it is pretty annoying actually :) )

It is likely not the project groups feature that is slow, but something else - which is not recorded here, since there are no thread dumps, profiler snapshots, or steps to reproduce from scratch.
