Build: NetBeans IDE 7.0.1 (Build 201107211357) VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, 21.0-b17, Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment, 1.7.0-b147 OS: Linux User Comments: jkovalsky: I had "Watches" view open. Clicked <Enter new watch> field which changed to textfield but the cursor was missing so I clicked into it once again but still nothing. So I clicked to Explorer to switch focus and then clicked the new watch textfield again which helped. I typed System.getProperty("os.version") into it and pressed Enter. Table with watches blinked but my new watch didn't appear and the exception was thrown. BTW, not reproducible on Ubuntu 11 - only on my Linux Mint 10 again :(. FYI, this might be related to disappearing cursor [1] I have reported a month ago which was unfortunately closed as not reproducible bug by JDK team. [1] http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=199340
