I you have, for example, netbeans 7.0 installed and then install 7.0.1 (a fresh install, not an upgrade), netbeans aks me whether I want to import the configuration from 6.9 (the last netbeans version I have installed prior to 7.0). 

I would expect that it is also possible to import from 7.0.

NetBeans 7.0.1 uses the same userdir as 7.0, so no need to import anything.
