Build: CE 020206_1 Platform: Solaris Duplicate processes of Tomcat4.0[Internal:localhost] entries listed in Execution View window when select in the Explore [Runtime] tab -L Installed Servers->Tomcat4.0 -> Internal -> Start Server Steps to reproduce the problem: in Explorer[runtime]: Bringup the Execution View window on 1 side 1) Install an external tomcat4.0 (e.g. /export/joanne2/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1) 2) select Installed Servers -> /export/joanne2/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1 -> localhost:8080 -> Set as Default 3) select /export/joanne2/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1 -> start Server 4) stop server 5) Set internal tomcat as default select Installed Servers -> Tomcat 4.0 -> Internal -> localhost:8080 -> Set as Default 6) Installed Servers -> Tomcat 4.0 -> Internal -> Start server This results to duplicate Tomcat4.0 [Internal:localhost] entries displayed in the Execution view window User needs to terminate each of them. 7) Another problem is that stop server from the internal tomcat does not reflect changes the execution View window either. Attached tar file which includes the Explorer and Execution snap shots.
Created attachment 4601 [details] gif file attached since it doesn't accept tar file
works for me win 2000; jdk 1.4; Forte EE v. 4.0-EA (Build 20020218-1130) - add external tomcat - set as default localhost of the external tomcat - start external tomcat - stop external tomcat - set as default localhost of the internal tomcat - start internal tomcat - stop internal tomcat all is OK
I see that now the internal tomcat process entry is fixed in the execution window. However if you use an external tomcat, modify the server.xml, and start server of the external tomcat, there will be double or even triple entries of the process in the execution window. Instead of filing another bug, I think there is still a problem in this area. I've tested with 020218 EE on win 2000.
I've reopened this issue.
win 2000; jdk 1.4; Forte for Java, EE v. 4.0-EA (Build 20020220-0509) works good for me (I fixed something similar on 19.) - add external install. - set as default the external install. - execute a JSP - modify server.xml (I changed port number) - execute force reload the JSP - only one process in the exec. window Can you retest this again. If you find some problems, can you write me precise steps for reproduction (something like previous lines) Thanks
I've tested it again with build 020220_1 EE and the problem no longer appears.
Verified in Build 020315.
