To reproduce
- starting with an empty userdir
- Tools>Options>Editor>hints>java
- expand "General" hint category
  Notice that all the entries are checked
- mouse click on the word General, selects in tree
- do several down arrow keyboard presses

Observe that the nodes become unchecked as they receive focus.
