Description Jan Stola 2011-10-18 15:59:52 UTC
Recently, we have obtained several reports from users confused by disappearing (unplaced) components. See, for example, issues 196396 and 203781.

We should make visualization of these components less confusing. These components are removed because the dragged component cannot snap to them, but (as the mentioned reports show) this removal is confusing sometimes. Maybe it would be sufficient to make them just blurred or semi-transparent. We may also add some badge to unplaced components to emphasize that there is something wrong with them.

Visualization of unplaced components has been improved:
* unplaced components don't disappear - they are made translucent instead
* unplaced component show a warning icon when it is selected
* help-bar (at the top of the designer) gives a clue what is wrong with
  the unplaced component
