Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201212080001)
Operating System = Linux version 3.5.0-20-generic running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_09
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.5-b02

it show a java.lang.AssertionError

then report it via exception reporter or at least attach the messages.log

I can confirm fortruth's report.
The same error occurs while saving existing file as new one (using Save As)
