This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
To reproduce, please try following: - create Groovy sample project NetBeans Project Generators - open NetBeansModule.groovy file, double click on "folder" on line 5 so it is selected - invoke refactor from context menu (or press Ctrl+R) => "The Rename refactoring cannot be applied in this context" If you just place cursor inside the variable (w/o the double clicking) or just invoke context menu directly, it works fine. Having variable selected is necessary to reproduce this. Also if I do the same in groovy file with class, it works again.
