Description adyn21 2013-10-24 10:42:00 UTC
Find in project doesn't work, it returns No matching files were found, and there are a lots of matching files for sure. Find in file works though. I recently deleted a project and import it back. Now find in project won't work in any projects. I also restarted the IDE.

I'm sorry, I cannot reproduce this bug, can you please provide exact steps.
What are your search settings? What matches were not found?
Consider attaching a screenshot. Thank you.

Any settings combination, any text i enter, it doesn't find anything. For example i'm searching the text "int" on a project and there are no results, when in fact it should return me hundreds of files.
Comment 3 Jaroslav Havlin 2013-10-24 13:19:24 UTC
Are the files on a local or a network drive?
Is the "Use Ignore List" option disabled?
If you search in Files window, or Favorites window, are the files found correctly?
Comment 4 adyn21 2013-10-24 13:30:04 UTC
The files are on a local dirve. "Use Ignore List" is disabled. The problem is the same in Files Window and Favourites Window. It doesn't find any result. I think maybe reinstalling netBeans may 'solve' the problem...

Can you please add your messages.log file to the issue as attachment? Thank you.

Reinstalling, or clearing your userdir, could help.

NetBeans message.log

Clearing userdir won't solve the problem.

Thank you very much for the log, unfortunately, I haven't found anything helpful in it.
Can you please try it again, with extra logging?

Start NetBeans with these command line parameters:
-J-Dorg.netbeans.api.search.level=FINEST -J-Dorg.netbeans.modules.search.level=FINEST -J-Dorg.netbeans.spi.search.level=FINEST

Run the search again, and then attach new messages.log to this issue. Thanks.

Hey thank you for your help, and sorry for not responding, but i was gone and today i needed to work on something and i reinstalled netbeans and now the search is working. Idk what could have been the problem..
Comment 9 Jaroslav Havlin 2013-10-25 13:38:52 UTC
I also have no idea what could have caused the bug.
I'm closing the bug, as it works for you now.
Thank you for reporting.
