Description Vladimir Voskresensky 2013-10-25 17:56:11 UTC
when I try to Go To File SourceLocation
I see 8 extra files which are artifacts of build process (SourceLocation.o/SourceLocation.d) and can not be opened in editor anyway.
They produce extra items which makes me more difficult to find interested file.
Please, exclude binary build artifacts from Go To File proposals.
Comment 1 Vladimir Voskresensky 2013-10-25 17:56:51 UTC
I see 8, because have 8 different build configurations and all artifacts present on disk
Comment 2 Alexander Simon 2014-05-14 13:12:14 UTC
It looks like enhancement:
- provide way to exclude non source files from "Go To File" list.
- and probably set exclusion by default.
Comment 3 chakie 2016-03-04 11:29:17 UTC
I see the same. For my class Foo I see Foo.cpp, Foo.hpp and Foo.cpp.o. There is no reason ever to show the compiled object files for all my classes.
