Description Sergey Soldatov 2002-05-22 09:24:59 UTC
FFJ 4.0 RC4 FCS. Reproducible on Linux RH 7.2 and Windows
2000
Start IDE, switch to the 'Runtime' pane in the explorer
window and select following node:
'Server Registry->Installed Servers->Tomcat 4.0->Internal'
Call popup menu and click on 'Start Server'
Now click on 'Cancel' button in 'Progress monitor' window.
Monitor will disappears but Tomcat server will start
anyway.
Comment 1 Milan Kuchtiak 2002-06-26 07:56:07 UTC
"Cancel" button does really nothing - only closes the
progress window.
Comment 2 Marek Grummich 2002-07-22 11:40:52 UTC
Set target milestone to TBD
Comment 3 Milan Kuchtiak 2002-07-30 14:06:15 UTC
This bug is duplicitly reported in Bugtraq (P3 - 4475436) so
I am changing the priority of this bug to P3 and marking
the Bugtraq bug 4475436 as duplicit to this bug.

=================================
Bugtraq P3 4475436 :

Description:

Build 010625 WinNT 4
Cancel action is not working in Progress object window.

Evaluation:

damian.frach@czech 2001-07-17
the cancel button should be disabled

Comment 4 Damian Frach 2002-09-06 18:31:52 UTC
because it is a really problematical to implement "cancel"
button for tomcat, we will dissable it
Comment 5 akemr 2003-02-24 16:05:13 UTC
Definitely evalueted issue, but not implemented yet.
Comment 6 Petr Jiricka 2003-03-03 10:37:59 UTC
The new Server Integration APIs based on JSR 88 will have
a new mechanism for tracking progress of long running
tasks. It is expected that this API will help us resolve
this issue.
Comment 7 Marek Fukala 2004-01-19 12:55:50 UTC
Since the code has been completely rewritten I am closing this bug as
irrelevant for Promo B - nb3.6.
