seems to work both in development builds and NetBeans 8.0. Switching theme changes background both in editor and in Evaluate Expression window. Can you attach the IDE log after you switch the theme and the background color stays the same?

Might be fixed in recent dev builds. Please attach a log file if it happens again.

I have same problem. I have changed background color to black and font color to white. Background is black if I open first time Evaluate expression window. Then I pres F8 Step over and Evaluate expression window has white backgroud and white color. Evaluate expression window has every time white background after that. There is nothing in message.log 

How reproduce:
1) Change background color to black
2) Start debugging
3) Open Evaluate expression window (window has black background)
4) Press F8 or click on Step over
5) Evaluate expression window has now white default backgroud

Reproduced. The background is white and the text is white as well. :-(

Same here.. I changed my colors and I can't read the text now b/c the background never changed to black. It has stayed white.

I get the same thing. I've tried several stock and downloaded dark themes and they all have varying degrees of problems with Evaluate Expression.

Hi, something was changed in 8.1 version. Evaluate Expression has background always white.

With the "Evaluate Expression" window open, changing the Font and Colors profile from NetBeans and back to Norway Today changed the background of the Evaluate Expression window to dark.

I see the same problem on Mac.

mjwall@netbeans.org is right, while it's open I can switch to different color profile and back to "Norway Today" and it becomes black. But it doesn't persist, new debug session makes it white again.

Background is dark pernament with Dracula LAF.
