Description Tomas Pavek 2014-07-17 14:55:05 UTC
It would be really nice to have a refresh for the data visible in the Team window, i.e. for the currently selected project.

The dashboard shows data from server that may change anytime, and although it is refreshed automatically in certain intervals, and e.g. the data about tasks are synchronized immediately with the Tasks dashboard (that has an explicit refresh), and in fact there is a refresh action in the context menu of the project selection megamenu that refreshes everything -- that all is somewhat indirect or hidden elsewhere. It would be great if there is a simple refresh action directly in the Team window for the selected project. It appears people just keep asking for it, it is something everyone seems to expect here, despite it theoretically might not be necessary.

I would suggest to place the refresh action to the upper right corner - among actions that appear when moving mouse over the project dropdown component.

This refresh should also refresh the project dashboard (with activities ect) if currently opened. Or the dashboard page should have its own refresh too.

Another situation where the project refresh can be useful: When a new project is created in the IDE and opened/selected in the Team window, its services may not be yet fully provisioned on the server. If the provisioning is slow, the user can e.g. get N/A when expanding tasks. In an ideal world we would be able to tell the user when all is done and update everything automatically, in the actual imperfect world a simple refresh action would be handy.
